Title

Multi-disciplinary approach for esthetic restorations. Current materials/techniques.

Course Description

This course will cover some of the challenges involved in performing restorations in the esthetic zone for young/adult patients. Adhesive strategies will be reviewed, and restorative techniques will be discussed.

Objectives

  • Provide participants with the latest materials and techniques available for esthetic restorations.
  • Revise concepts of adhesive and esthetic dentistry.
  • Provide a rationale for conservative treatment plans on esthetically demanding cases.

Biosketch

Dr. Andre Reis earned his dental degree in 1999 from the Campinas State University in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He earned his master’s degree in Operative Dentistry in 2003 and PhD in 2005 from the Campinas State University. Dr. Reis joined the University of Florida in 2018, and is currently appointed as Clinical Professor and Senior Director of Faculty and Extramural practices. He has devoted the last 20 years to the practice of Dentistry, teaching and research. His practice focuses on restoring and rehabilitating patients’ oral health, function and smile.

Dr. Reis has traveled extensively worldwide to teach his skills in smile design, smile reconstruction, and aesthetics. He has presented numerous lectures, ‘hands-on’ courses, and conferences across Europe, America, and Asia. His passion is constantly updating his dental knowledge and experience through continuing education and research.

Dr. Reis has received important research, teaching and clinical awards. He has published over 70 articles and book chapters on the study of Adhesive and Esthetic Dentistry materials and techniques.
